Join us for the biggest and coolest music event
in the Village of Warwick!
Mardi Gras, French for Fat Tuesday, is the day before Ash Wednesday and it’s traditionally a time to celebrate and eat well before the season of Lent. Local restaurants and pubs in the Village of Warwick open their doors to the community allowing musicians and friends to celebrate Mardi Gras. It’s an evening of live music, and fun for all ages celebrated in the tradition of New Orleans, and as a charity event raises awareness and money for a local community program called Backpack Snack Attack.
Backpack Snack Attack, an outreach program of the Warwick Reformed Church in Warwick, NY, is a non-profit organization, begun in 2009, that provides food on weekends and school supplies to nearly 300 needy children within the Warwick, Florida, and Greenwood Lake Public School Districts. A group of volunteers fill backpacks each week with 13-14 food items (per child), they deliver this food to the schools, whereupon the bags are sent home with each needy child. All donations to the program are used to purchase food and backpacks and supplies needed to maintain the program. There are no administrative costs.
