Mardi Gras, French for Fat Tuesday, is the day before Ash Wednesday and it’s traditionally a time to celebrate and eat well before the season of Lent. Local restaurants and pubs in the Village of Warwick open their doors to the community allowing musicians and friends to celebrate Mardi Gras. It’s an evening of live music, and fun for all ages celebrated in the tradition of New Orleans, and as a charity event raises awareness and money for a local community program called Backpack Snack Attack.
Backpack Snack Attack is an outreach program of the Warwick Reformed Church in Warwick, NY that provides food on weekends and in the summer to nearly 300 needy children within the Florida, Greenwood Lake and Warwick Public School Districts. We will be adding event locations and musicians. Please check back often.
